This mudroom was already a great size but contained no storage or style. Also, it has 3 doors in it! One to the garage, one to the side of the house and one to the back of the house. So we had to figure out how to make those a feature instead of an eyesore. With no windows in the space, the best solution was to change one of the doors to have windows. The new door brings in some much needed light and just opens up the space so much.
Lighting was key- she wanted lights that made a statement and added a lot to the space. Also….LOCKERS and DRAWERS! Obviously this kind of storage is necessary in any mudroom space to contain the clutter, but she wanted all of it hidden so we did just that. The two-tone wood and painted look gave it some character since it was mostly enclosed. The baskets at the top helped to add texture and more storage as well.

A statement tile with a darker grout adds so much to the room. Also, a drinking fountain and spot for their pet’s food was one of her requirements, so this little nook on the wall was the best spot for both.
Pretty wall details to bring the space some life. And the touches of gold add another element of interest as well.
So happy with how this functional and pretty space turned out for this well deserving family. Good things come to those who wait:)
