The living room is the first room you see in many homes upon entering the house. So although it may be one of the least used rooms in the home, it is definitely the most viewed. Therefore making it a space that is both welcoming and beautiful is key. My client had some existing pieces like the coffee table and chairs so I brought in furniture pieces and accents to work well with those existing pieces. This couch from West Elm was the perfect item to contrast the linen chairs and white walls and finish work. The bookshelf from Joss & Main was an AMAZIING price and filled the wall exactly like we wanted it to- enough to fill the space but not so much that it covered up the pretty panelling. The other key item was this plaid rug from CB2. I love how the pattern and color in it brings the whole space together.
This artwork from Minted was another item that I thought helped to pull the space together.
This chandelier from Overstock was such a great price and it makes an understated statement which I love.
Keeping the shelves simple and fairly sparse allows you to still see the pretty finish work behind it but give the room the needed color and texture that it had to have. Plants were another important accent to liven up the room.
I love this view from the living room into the entry. This artwork from a local boutique in South Jordan called Nest Boutique keeps the entry serene and welcoming.
The pillow is from Mae Woven and the rug from Pottery Barn has just the right amount of pattern and durability that an entry needs.
The bench was a great find from Homegoods and the entry light is from Shades of Light. So happy with how everything came together with the mixture of woods and metals to make the space interesting, livable and appealing.
