Supplies needed are simple- scissors, tape measure, a strong yarn and a piece of masking tape.

Step 1: Measure out lengths of at least 32″ inches (longer if you want the plant to hang down lower) 8 times so that there are 4 loops on one end as pictured below.

Step 2: Tie all of the ends with the 4 loops in a knot leaving a 2 or 3 inch opening at the top to hang the planter on a hook. Tape the knot to a surface and cut the opposite ends evenly as pictured below.

Step 3: Pair yarn into 4 sections and tie knots approximately 6 inches down from the large knot.

Step 4: Leaving the outside yarn pieces out, tie another knot using the remaining pieces, approximately 4 inches below the first knot. Then take the outside pieces of yarn and tie them together so as to make it a circle.

Step 5: Collect all of the pieces of yarn and tie another knot at the bottom, leaving approximately 4 or 5 inches of yarn hanging down. Insert plant into the circle of yarn and you have a hanging pot holder!!
